April 10, 2020 Euless, TX – The Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) today announced that Federal Heath Sign Company has received the SGIA 2019 Safety Recognition Program Award for its efforts throughout the past year. The annual program runs from Jan. 1 – Dec. 31 and acknowledges those SGIA members which integrate health and safety into everyday business practices.
”As a safety-aware company, we’re grateful to be recognized for the value we place on our employees and the important work they do,” said Dennis Lytle, Safety Manager at Federal Heath. “Building a safety culture is something we work hard to achieve and maintain every day – from continuous training to holding ourselves accountable with reporting at company-wide meetings every month.”
SGIA member companies receive “points” for specific safety activities and initiatives, such as developing a new safety policy, creating a safety training program for new hires and providing worker safety training. Participants then submit documentation for each activity, and all companies that earn 80 points or more receive an award and recognition on the SGIA website, with the three top-performing companies receiving additional recognition. Federal Heath received 950 points throughout 2019.
“We congratulate Federal Heath for being a leader in its field in implanting health and safety practices into its operation throughout all of 2019,” said Marci Kinter, Vice President, Government Affairs, SGIA. “Studies show that companies that focus on safety and health issues see improved performance in areas, ranging from morale and productivity to operating and insurance costs. We look forward to continuing to see Federal Heath move into 2020 with these initiatives and more.”
