Monument Signs
Typically displayed at the front of a business or building, monument signs are lower to the ground and sit at street level, providing a direct line of sight for commuters. Unlike pylon signs which can reach heights of up to twenty feet or more, monument signs are seen at eye level and stand around five feet tall on average.
Monument signs are permanently fixed to the ground by a solid base and are manufactured from materials such as aluminum, masonry, and brick. They can be outfitted with LED lights, leaderboards, and light boxes or be non-illuminated.
You'll often see monument signs paired with eye-catching landscapes, water fountains, and other aesthetic features. This type of sign may be preferred if there are strict local sign height restrictions.
A monument sign enhances a business’s visibility and credibility by providing a permanent, ground-level presence that’s easy to spot for drivers and pedestrians. It reinforces branding, improves wayfinding, and adds a professional, established look to the property, making it more inviting and easier for customers to locate and remember.
